Stage Career

William was a very capable, successful and talented character actor, who always seemed to be ‘in work’ and who also had an excellent baritone singing voice.
He was involved in provincial theatre, mainly in his early career, and also in provincial tours.
His later career was almost exlusively in London, largely the West End, and during this period he became involved in films.
